Summer season flowers are blooming, bugs are buzzing, and songbirds are wrapping up the breeding season.

Be a part of me for a chicken & nature stroll in Frick Park on Sunday, July 30, 2023, 8:30a – 10:30a.

Meet on the Nine Mile Run Trail Parking lot to stroll Frick Park’s boardwalk and 9 Mile Run loop.  

Park anyplace alongside Industrial Avenue however meet on the 9 Mile Run Parking space (screenshot map from Google)

The assembly place is on the Swissvale aspect of the Parkway bridge so for those who park on Industrial Avenue on the Boardwalk or Firelane Path, cross Industrial Avenue and take the trail beneath the Parkway bridge to achieve us. You’ll see the 9 Mile Run Path car parking zone as quickly as you’re beneath the bridge.

Close to the assembly place we’re certain to see Queen Anne’s lace, fleabane, and goldfinches. If we’re fortunate we’ll see orchard orioles, a part of the household that nested close to the creek.

Gown for the climate and put on snug strolling sneakers. Deliver binoculars and area guides in case you have them.

Earlier than you come, go to my Events page in case of adjustments or cancellations. The outing can be canceled if there’s lightning or heavy rain.
