Waders acquired first rate illustration at this time with a Dotterel seen transferring north by observers stationed at SW Discipline and Airfield. A lone Whimbrel and two singles of Ringed Plover on the transfer, one among which accompanied by 2 Dunlin. A Sandwich Tern was heard within the Touchdown Bay and glorious protection  noticed extra month-to-month totals smashed, this time Shag with 82 people recorded throughout the island. The immature Cormorant was seen wing-drying by Quarter Wall Pond and a grownup moved alongside the west coast. The Kestrel pair stay very energetic with the male steadily bringing again Pygmy Shrews to the nest! Light hirundine passage totalled 10 Swift, 2 Sand Martin, 254 Swallow and 307 Home Martin. Noticed Flycatcher numbers matched yesterday (16) and there was a small arrival of  5 Willow and seven Sedge Warblers alongside the southeast. Two Yellow Wagtail offered a splash of color and three White Wagtail have been logged throughout Millcombe, Stoneycroft and the village.

Lastly, after a report of 4 attention-grabbing dragonfly at Pondsbury yesterday, two male Vagrant Emperor have been confirmed hawking over the water, together with a 4-spotted Chaser. That is simply the 4th incidence of Vagrant Emperor for Lundy (the three earlier data have been in Sep 2015, Feb 2019 and Oct 2020). This follows on from an unprecedented inflow to Devon and Cornwall in latest weeks!
